Sprucing up your blog

Want to put a picture up of yourself but don't have any nice ones or the background of the picture is not nice or maybe you just want something different for your blog? Well I have used Picture Effects before for my profile and thought it might be a good idea to make a blog post about it so here it is.

Hand Towels

Getting a bit tired of reading and watching movies I was looking at what else I could do this winter so I found my crochet hooks and some cotton and played with a few ideas.

Then one day I saw this hand towel in a stall in the shopping center and it had this loop thing crochet on it.
So I started on an old towel for some practice and have since been making a few hand towels.

I find nice hand towels and cut them in half, hem or zig zag the frayed part where I cut the towel and then crochet as you can see above. The challenge has been to find the right coloured cotton and buttons but I'm getting there lol.

As you can see in the last photo; this is what I use these hand towels for and this is my kitchen :). Not only does this keep my tea towel cleaner but the hand towel is thicker and therefor better for just drying your hands whilst working in the kitchen.
